England on the Sharp's narrow boat Hawkeye, Day 2, May 16

Today we are driving to Wheaton Ashton to visit Allan and Ann Wisener.

Christy and Dot welcoming the day.

But first, breakfast on Hawkeye! OK, now how do we do this?

Frank has developed a breakfast specialty, English Crumpets soaked in egg, fried and served with genuine maple syrup. Frank is still cooking and I'm behind the camera but the girls are already enjoying the delicacy!

After Breakfast, we left the mooring and drove to Wheaton Aston.

.

We parked in the parking lot of the Hartley Arms pub above (Thanks again Google Earth!) beside the canal and walked across the bridge, down the towpath alongside the canal and met the Wiseners on their narrow boat. After a pleasant hour or so with the Wiseners, we felt constrained to patronize the pub since we had parked in their parking lot.

.

Along the way, I spied this perfect Dandelion seed "clock" and couldn't resist photographing it.

.

Shortly after reaching the pub, we were joined by some narrow boating friends, Kevin, Donald and not Donald. Here, clockwise from the left, Kevin, Ann Wisener, Dot, Christy, Frank, Alan Wisener and Donald.

Here, another view, clockwise from the left, Alan Wisener, Donald, not Donald, Kevin, Ann Wisener and me mostly out of the frame.

.

Here, a bit more to the right, not Donald, Kevin, Ann Wisener and me (Marion) - who should have been out of the frame.

After a couple of hours of hilarity due to Kevin's story telling, we headed back to Hawkeye and turned in early since we were going to get an early start tomorrow.
